MICROCANONICAL SIMULATION OF SELF-AVOIDING SURFACES

摘要
The microcanonical ensemble of closed self-avoiding surfaces (SASs) on the cubic lattice has been investigated using a Monte Carlo method. The conformations of SASs are branched with fractal (Hausdorff) dimension d(f) = 2.00 +/- 0.03 and the volume is proportional to the surface area. It is shown that even quantitively the sizes of these lattice vesicles are very close to the one of compact lattice animals with nonconserved surface area.
