We have successfully synthesised new layered copper oxides with the 1212 structure. (Bi0.35Cd0.67)Sr2(Y1-xCax)Cu2O7 has a tetragonal unit cell with a = 3.802 angstrom, c = 11.96 angstrom when x = 0 and shows a T(conset) at 40 K after annealing in high pressure oxygen at 900-degrees-C for 16 h. (Ce0.5Cd0.5)Sr2(Y1-xCax)Cu2O7 also has a tetragonal unit cell with a = 3.808 angstrom and c = 12.10 angstrom when x = 0 and has a T(c onset) at 30 K after annealing in high pressure oxygen at 900-degrees-C for 16 h.
