摘要
From the study of the thermal expansion of CeNiSn, CeNi0.9Cu0.1Sn, Ce1-xLaxNiSn (x=0.03, 0.1) between 0.5K and 25K; and the transport (3<T<60K) and magnetic (0.1<T<8K) properties of CeNiSn, we conclude that the competition between the local and long-range antiferromagnetic Kondo-type interactions plays a basic role in the formation of the gapped ground state. We propose a simple picture for the electron spectrum near the Fermi level, which can describe the main low temperature properties of CeNiSn.
