ANALYTICAL CAPABILITIES OF ERDA IN TRANSMISSION GEOMETRY

摘要
The analytical interest of proton recoil induced by 1.8-3 MeV 4He ions in transmission geometry is discussed in terms of selectivity, sensitivity, probing depth and depth resolution. The method is then applied to determine the local hydrogen distribution in thin polymer films and volcanic glasses using a nuclear microprobe. For a 3 MeV 4He microbeam, the typical analysed depth is 6 μm and the depth resolution varies around 35 nm. © 1990.
