SPECTROELECTROCHEMICAL STUDY OF THE RADICAL CATION PRODUCED FROM A 1,3-DIPHENYLPYRAZOLINE DERIVATIVE

摘要
The oxidation of PH2 was studied spectroelectrochemically. The generated radical cation yields dimeric product which is subsequently oxidized in the same potential range. Dimer formation from PH2 radical cation is not influenced by the presence of added base in the solution which is in contrast with previous observations with analogous systems. Quantitative estimates for some of the reaction rates is provided. © 1979 Elsevier Sequoia S.A., Lausanne.
