摘要
Two types of resistance-heated furnaces for molten salt spectrophotometry are described. Both have low thermal gradients in the cell space. One furnace fits the sample compartment of a Cary model 14 spectrophotometer and operates up to 400°C. The other is used with a Cary model 14H high-temperature spectrophotometer at temperatures up to 1000°C. The molten salt samples are held in square silica cuvettes with a 1 cm optical path.
