摘要
Self broadened semi-halfwidths of the pure rotational lines J = 7 ← 6 through J = 20 ← 19 have been measured for carbon monoxide, assuming a dipole moment of 0·112 Debye. These widths are narrower than those determined from vibration-rotation bands. The semi-halfwidth decreases anomalously from the J = 9 ← 8 to the J = 10 ← 9 transition. The measurements were derived from two-beam interferometric data and the corrections, due to finite resolution and other instrumental effects, are discussed. © 1969.
