摘要：

Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is a common and often catastrophic thrombohemorrhagic syndrome seen in almost all medical specialties. This review highlights the salient features of the etiology, patho-physiology, clinical and laboratory diagnosis, and management of this common disorder. A firm understanding of the features of DIC will lead to both enhanced awareness of this syndrome and improved patient care.
