摘要
This paper describes a three-dimensional normalized color space and presents some examples which indicate the usefulness of this space for segmenting color scenes. The normalized color space is based on the standard trichromatic coefficients so that both color (independent of intensity) and total intensity information can be accessed. The segmentation is accomplished by rather simple decision surfaces in the color space. The example scenes have been taken from aerial color photographs in the form of 35 mm transparencies. © 1979 Academic Press, Inc. All rights reserved.
