摘要
Single crystals of pure bisglycine cadmium chloride were irradiated for about six hours using a **6**0Co gamma -source and EPR measurements were carried out at X-band frequencies at room temperature. The results indicate that the gamma -irradiation ruptures the glycine molecule and the bonding is altered in such a way that the unpaired electron interacts equivalently with four protons and with a nitrogen nucleus resulting in the formation of NH//4 radical. The g-tensor is axial while the hyperfine tensor (or proton) is rhombic.
