摘要
Cyclic voltammetry and potential step experiments at a vitreous carbon disc electrode and at a copper microdisc are used to investigate the electrodeposition of manganese metal from neutral aqueous ammonium chloride electrolytes. The importance of hydrogen evolution as the major competing reaction is confirmed and the parameters controlling the relative rates of proton and manganese(II) reduction are studied. The role of selenous acid as an additive to improve the current efficiency for manganese deposition is discussed. © 1990.
