MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF Y(CO1-XALX)2, Y(CO1-XGAX)2 COMPOUNDS (0.00 LESS-THAN-OR-EQUAL-TO X LESS-THAN-OR-EQUAL-TO 0.18 - AND THEIR HYDRIDES

Measurements of the specific heat C(p), the ac-susceptibility X and the magnetization M have been performed on the weakly ferromagnetic systems Y(Co, M)2 (M = A1, Ga) and their hydrides in the concentration range 0.00 less-than-or-equal-to x less-than-or-equal-to 0.18. Pronounced maxima in the electronic specific heat coefficient gamma and in the Debye temperature capital-theta-D are observed in the region of occurrence of magnetic order and point to the appearance of spin fluctuations.
