ANALYSIS OF THE STEADY-STATE AND SWITCH-ON CHARACTERISTICS OF A NONLINEAR FIBER OPTIC RING-RESONATOR

摘要
This paper investigates the steady-state and switch-on response of a nonlinear fibre optic ring resonator illuminated by a monochromatic laser light source. The analysis includes both the nonlinear Kerr effect and also the generation of Stokes radiation via backward stimulated Brillouin scattering. The properties of the system are investigated for different laser input powers, ring coupling coefficients and ring detunings.
