摘要
Bulk densities higher than 10(19) cm-3 and surface densities of about 10(13) cm-2 have been obtained for spin-polarized hydrogen gas (H down) in experiments where a small fraction of the H down sample is compressed magnetically with a miniature field intensifier. Transfer of recombination heat from the pole tip is bottlenecked so that the compressed gas fraction warms up by a few hundred millikelvin above the ambient temperature of about 400 mK.
