摘要
The linear-chain compound Ru2(O2CCMePh2)4Cl was prepared by reaction of RU2(O2CCH3)4Cl with 2,2-diphenylpropionic acid. The compound has been characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic susceptibility measurements from ca 2 to 300 K. The chloride ligands bridge the dinuclear units into linear chains. The Ru-Ru', Ru-O (carboxylate) and Ru-Cl distances are 2.2893(9), 2.030(5) and 2.5016(6) angstrom, respectively. There is an antiferromagnetic electronic interaction between dinuclear units with J (coupling constant) = - 10.9 cm-1. The magnetic moment of RU2(O2CCMePh2)4Cl at 300 K is 4.4 mu(B), which indicates three unpaired electrons in each dinuclear unit.
