摘要
A simple dual dominant selection marker gene model is proposed for recombinant DNA (rDNA) viral vaccines. Marker genes are also used as targets for in vitro DNA amplification (polymerase chain reaction). Environmentally stable and destabilized rDNA viruses are easily recovered and identified. Use of the model would facilitate evaluation of pressing environmental and safety issues surrounding release of rDNA herpesviruses and poxviruses into the biosphere.
