LATTICE-DYNAMICS OF LITHIUM INTERCALATED MOS2

摘要
New structure has been observed in the Raman scattering spectrum of MoS2 after intercalation with Li. To explain these results, full three-dimensional lattice dynamical calculations have been performed for pure MoS2, Li0.5MoS2 and Li1.0MoS2. We investigate the concentration dependence of the vibrational frequencies. It is found that the new structure at low frequency can be attributed to a new intercalant mode in which the intercalant atoms vibrate strongly against the host lattice.
