DESIGN OPTIMIZATION OF ERBIUM RING LASER REGARDING OUTPUT POWER AND SPECTRAL PROPERTIES

摘要
The performance of an erbium doped fibre ring laser has been measured as a function of the output coupler reflectivity. Experimental and theoretical results are presented, enabling a laser design optimisation with respect to the output power and the spectral properties. Optimum performance is achieved with output coupler reflectivities beyond 50%.
