摘要
Two analytical methods are developed for evaluating the total band absorptance of a non-isothermal infrared-radiating gas. One method concerns a wide-band formulation of the Curtis-Godson approximation, and the other is based on a series-expansion formulation. In both methods, existing information of isothermal gas radiation can be utilized to evaluate non-isothermal gas radiation. Good agreement is shown between the present predictions and available experimental data. Both methods are further employed to predict the band emission from a non-isothermal gas, and the results are compared with the existing analytical calculations and measurements. © 1969.
