摘要
The aim of this publication is to put forward a process for treating hydrochloric acid waste pickle liquors produced in steel-rolling processes. The most suitable process for treating these liquors first involves recovering the acid they contain, so that this may be recirculated to the pickling baths. Processes currently exist for recovering hydrochloric acid, and in percentage terms are able to recover up to 90% of the acid, but these processes still leave behind a waste stream with a high iron content which also needs to be dealt with. The recovery of iron from the liquor is carried out by means of an oxyprecipitation reaction, using air as oxidizing agent and ammonia as basic agent.
