Seven patients are described in whom a congenital communication was found between the vestibule and the anal canal in addition to either a normal or a perineal termination of the anal canal. Problems in connection with its incidence, embryology, and management are briefly discussed. A vestibulo-anal pull-through procedure is used in repair. © 1969.
