摘要
Subjects were required to recall lists of words presented in an incremental manner, i.e., by adding one new item to the list on each trial. Word order of old words was random, and new words were added either at the beginning, the end, or in the middle of the list. New items occurred early in output, even when they were added in the middle or at the end of input. As expected, input order on any given trial was unrelated to the organization of the output on that trial, but the output order did reflect in part the order of addition of new words to the random lists. © 1969 Academic Press Inc.
