ANALYSIS OF METHYLOLMELAMINES BY THIN-LAYER AND GEL-PERMEATION CHROMATOGRAPHY

摘要
Thin-layer Chromatographic separation of the different methylolmelamines can be improved by applying DMF/H2O/CHCl3/isopropanol (1:1:1:3 by volume) as eluting solvent and cellulose as layer material. Using Sephadex LH 20 as stationary phase and DMF as eluent the gel-permeation chromatographic separation of different methylolmelamines can be achieved. The distribution of the initial reaction products of melamine and formaldehyde and the course of the methylolization reaction can be observed by gelpermeation chromatograms. © 1979 Springer-Verlag.
