A COUPLED ANALYSIS OF VISIOPLASTICITY IN PLANE EXTRUSION WITH THE FLOW-FUNCTION ELEMENTAL TECHNIQUE

摘要
A numerical approach for smoothing the flow lines of experimental data to couple with the visioplasticity method is developed. Flow-function elements with imposed constrained conditions are employed to minimize the summation of differences of flow-function values between each experimental point and numerical point A plane-strain extrusion through a cosine-curved die with a 2:1 extrusion ratio is conducted for illustration of this method and the computed results for the velocity, the strain rate, the effective strain and the stress are presented. This proposed technique can also provide detailed data of the pressure distribution on the die surface, which is important in the design of the die profile.
