摘要
I developed a new expandable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) collar that marks terrestrial mammals, accommodates enlargement of their necks, and supports a radio transmitter. When tested with a solar-powered transmitter on male white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), the collar functioned properly for greater-than-or-equal-to 22 months. The size and the tension of the collar can be modified for a variety of terrestrial mammals and transmitter types.
