摘要
Transmission electron microscopy and X-ray powder diffraction have revealed an incommensurate phase in Pb2MgTeO6. Only two other complex perovskites give such phases. Moreover, Pb2MgTeO6 incommensurate phase shows some unique characteristics: no lock-in transition, an extended domain of stability. Thanks to precise X-ray powder diffraction, we have found that the modulation vector is along [111](C) directions. The lower temperature phase has an average trigonal symmetry. Thermal evolution of lattice parameters is given between 8 and 800 K. Critical exponents of satellite intensities are also given.
