摘要
(Be, Al)B12 single crystals were prepared from high temperature solutions. Electrical conductivity measurements were carried out in the temperature range 77 - 1000 K at fields of up to 2 × 105 Vcm-1. Reflection and absorption spectra (0.5 - 25 μm) of the samples were obtained. The values for the forbidden gap calculated on the basis of the thermal and optical measurements were in good agreement. A conclusion about the nature of the conduction mechanism in (Be, Al)B12 was drawn. The properties of (Be, Al)B12 and AlB12 were compared with the properties of β rhombohedral boron. © 1979.
