摘要
This is a presentation of some of the results obtained by model potential calculations for the interaction between an excited neon or argon atom with a ground state rare gas perturber. The accuracy of the method can be checked by comparing the computed cross sections for population transfer in Ne* (2p 53p) + He collisions with the measurements of the Eindhoven group. New results for the Ne* (2p53p) + Ar system are presented and low-energy oscillations in the cross sections are predicted. © 1990.
