摘要
Carbonaceous mesophase spherules of a new-type have been found in the heat-treated products of quinoline-soluble portion of coal-tar pitch containing carbon black. Their spherules have molecular orientation different from that proposed by Brooks and Taylor. The effect of a magnetic field is discussed on the orientation of the spherules formed during carbonization processes using a polarization microscope. © 1978.
