摘要
The liquidus in the Au-Cd binary system has been accurately determined between 33 and 52 at.% Cd. The segregation of the point defects at melting has been experimentally verified, and leads to a local minimum melting temperature close to the stoichiometric composition. The maximum melting temperatures were observed at 47·5 and 50·8 at.% Cd, corresponding to compositions containing, respectively, predominantly substitutional defects and vacancies on one sublattice. © 1968.
