摘要
A well established protocol for m vitro germination of Stylosanthes scabra zygotic embryos was achieved. The response of S. scabra embryonic tissues cultured in vitro was highly dependent on the kind of growth regulator used. Organogenesis was obtained by using BAP, otherwise somatic embryogenesis was induced by 2,4-D. Histological aspects of both methods of regeneration were evaluated. Endogenous neoformed buds seem to develop from deep- seated vascular nodule structures into callus tissue. Besides, a direct somatic embryogenesis of a multicellular origin is suggested. © 1992 Annals of Botany Company.
