摘要
The Urbach rule in the configuration-coordinate model of amorphous semiconductors is described. Different functions of the excited-state energy on the configurational coordinate are considered and a comparison of the optical absorption in amorphous solids with electron excitation is given. An explanation of the temperature dependence of the Urbach edge for optical absorption is proposed. © 1979 Taylor & Francis Ltd.
