CURRENT STATUS OF A-SI TECHNOLOGY AND ITS APPLICATIONS TO OPTOELECTRONIC DEVICES

摘要
A review is given of recent progress in tetrahedrally bonded amorphous semiconductors and their technological applications to optoelectronic devices. First, some significant advantages of these materials are pointed out, and concrete examples are demonstrated from current technological topics. In the second part, recent R&D efforts on the improvement of the photovoltaic performance in a-Si solar cells are overviewed. The current state of the art in other optoelectronic fields with a-Si alloy materials is then reviewed, and some new topics with their technical data are summaried and discussed.
