The product obtained by the pyrolysis of the mixture of o,m,p-phenyl-enediamine (PDA) and 2,4,6-triphenoxy-1,3,5-triazine (TPTA) at 500-1000-degrees-C has exhibited a novel ferromagnetic behavior. Especially the pyrolysis at 600-degrees-C has been most effective. There exists a remarkable isomer effect of PDA on the magnetic properties obtained by the measurements of the ESR and the M-H curve. The larger values of spin concentration N(s) (1.18 x 10(19) spins g-1), saturation magnetization M(s) (6.24 x 10(-1) emu G g-1) and residual magnetization M(r) (6.65 x 10(-2) emu G g-1) have been evaluated in the sample prepared from TPTA/m-PDA than those from TPTA/o-PDA and TPTA/p-PDA. The results are tentatively discussed in terms of parallel spin orientation of nitrogen radicals.
