POSTNATAL CHANGES IN [H-3] MAZINDOL-LABELED DOPAMINE UPTAKE SITES IN THE RAT STRIATUM FOLLOWING PRENATAL COCAINE EXPOSURE

摘要
The present study showed that prenatal cocaine exposure (60 mg/ kg/ day) has a transient effect on the [H-3]mazindol-labelled dopamine uptake sites in the striatum of the rat offspring examined from postnatal week 0-32. There is a 39% and 21% decrease in the number of binding sites (B-max) in the cocaine-exposed group at postnatal weeks 3 and 4, respectively, with a recovery to near normal values by postnatal week 8.
