Arthroscopy of the ankle is a well established technique for the evaluation of ankle pain or dysfunction. Using the A-0 femoral distractor with pins in the distal tibia and calcaneum, respectively, we were able to provide distraction for easy visualization and operative manipulation within the ankle joint comparable with that obtained with commercially available ankle distractors.
