摘要
A lightweight, battery-powered instrument specifically designed for measuring ground reflectance in the UV is described. The instrument has been used to measure the UV reflectance over different terrains in Saudi Arabia, Canada and England, and data are presented for a number of surfaces including tarmac, grass, wood, concrete and sand. These values agree closely with those obtained by diffuse spectral reflectance measurements.
