摘要
The selective reduction of nitrogen dioxide over a Cu-ZSM-5 preparation has been studied and compared with the same reaction with nitric oxide. Nitrogen dioxide appears to play a critical role in the overall reaction mechanism in both cases. Excess oxygen is required to produce nitrogen dioxide to oxidize the hydrocarbon, to keep the catalyst clean and to prevent excessive reduction of the Cu2+ cations.
