APPLICATION OF CAPACITIVE TRANSDUCERS TO SOUND-VELOCITY MEASUREMENTS IN TTF-TCNQ

摘要
A capacitive technique is described for measuring the elastic properties of small samples. Acoustic resonance modes of the sample are excited electrostatically and detected with a detector capacitor which is biased with a uhf carrier signal. The sensitivity of the detection scheme is investigated theoretically. An application of the technique to the measurement of three elastic constants (EaEband c66) of single crystals of TTF-TCNQ is described. © 1979, American Association of Physics Teachers.
