The superconductors Y2Ba4Cu7O15-δ (2-4-7) and YBa2Cu4O8 (1-2-4) with 7% Ca substitution, have been prepared in oxygen at one atmosphere and their superconducting transitions investigated at helium pressures of 4000 atmospheres. Both resistivity and AC susceptibility were monitored and the zero resistance Tc (91 K for 2-4-7 and 86 K for 1-2-4) was found to rise linearly with pressure at rates of 3.0 K/GPa and 4.5 K/GPa respectively. These appear to be the highest pressure derivatives reported for 90 K superconductors. © 1990.
