摘要
The photophysical properties of the perylenebis(dicarboximide) dye DBPI were investigated in different sol-gel matrices. Monomeric DBPI is highly fluorescent in sol-gel and composite material (CM) glasses. DBPI has a strong tendency towards aggregation in sol-gel glass and the dimeric species is predominant at high concentrations in sol-gel thin films. In CM glass aggregation can be suppressed even at high concentrations. A quantitative description of the dimer half arrow right over half arrow left monomer equilibrium of DBPI in sol-gel glass is presented.
