ANODIC ELECTROPOLYMERIZATION OF FILMS OF POLYPYRROLE FUNCTIONALIZED WITH METAL TERPYRIDYL REDOX CENTERS

摘要
Several complexes of the type ML2+2 (M= Mn, Fe, Ru, Ni, Co), MLCl3 (M = Rh, Ru) and ML(bp) (OH2)2+ (M = Ru, bp = 2,2'-bipyridine) with L = 4'-(para-pyrrolylmethyl-phenyl)-2,2':6',2″-terpyridine have been prepared and characterized. Their anodic electropolymerization and electrochemical behaviour are described. Electron transfer to solution species may occur either via diffusion through the polymer matrix or via redox conduction through the film. Attempts to electro-oxidize various substrates were carried out. Positive results were obtained when the system behaves as an electron mediator. © 1990.
