摘要
Treatment of pentamethylruthenocene with 5 equiv of mercuric acetate affords pentakis(acetoxymecurio)pentamethylruthenocene (88%), which can be halogenated with potassium triiodide or potassium tribromide to afford pentaiodopentamethylruthenocene (60%) and pentabromopentamethylruthenocene (35%). The crystal structure of the pentaiodopentamethylruthenocene derivative is described.
