摘要
The microstructural characteristics of the Ni5Al3 phase in NiAl-base alloys have been comprehensively studied for different aging conditions by using transmission electron microscopy. It is revealed that both martensite aging and B2 phase aging result in the formation of Ni5Al3 with martensite%-like morphology and substructure. The microstructural evolutions of other related phases with aging are also discussed in order to clarify the formation mechanisms of the Ni5Al3 phase.
