A PULSE-SHAPE-DISCRIMINATION CIRCUIT OF WIDE RANGE AND HIGH SENSITIVITY

摘要：

A sensitive pulse-shape-discrimination circuit of wide range is described. The circuit measures the time between the initial rise and the crossover of the doubly-differentiated voltage pulse from one of the lower dynodes of a photomultiplier and provides an analogue output. Two tunnel diodes which undergo similar forward transitions are employed to determine the two times of interest. Examples of the output of the circuit when used with a stilbene scintillator are given. © 1968.
