摘要：

The tail beat frequency of the spermatozoa of Periplaneta is nearly twice as great in sperms removed from the spermathecae of the female as those removed from the seminal vesicles of the male. The time course of this activation during copulation is described. Morphological changes in the area surrounding the acrosome, visible in both the light and electron microscopes, accompany these physiological changes. © 1969.
