摘要：

In contrast to earlier reports the pattern induced flicker colors of Benham's top are independent of the spectral composition of metameric light mixtures, i.e. physically different lights that appear equal. As a consequence one can assume that the retinal response to different metameric mixtures of the stimulating light is identical at the site of the lateral interaction that causes the pattern induced flicker colors. © 1969.
