ELASTIC NEUTRON-SCATTERING EVIDENCE FOR A CHARGE-TRANSFER CHANGE IN TTF-TCNQ (TETRATHIOFULVALENE-TETRACYANOQUINODIMETHANE) AT HIGH-PRESSURE

摘要
Neutron scattering measurements of a satellite reflection in the {h k o} zone of the modulated phases of TTF-TCNQ reveal a shift of the 2kF wave vector from 0.295 b{A figure is presented} at ambient pressure, to 0.308 b{A figure is presented} at 5 Kbar. This change corresponds to an increase of charge-transfer from 0.59 to 0.616 electrons. A new pressure-induced phase transition has also been observed. At the transition the component of the satellite wave vector in the a{A figure is presented} direction changes from 0.25 a{A figure is presented} below 3 Kbar to 0.5 a{A figure is presented} above 4.6 Kbar. © 1979.
