摘要
We have investigated the effects of a grating on current-driven plasma instabilities in layered solid-state systems. By quenching the excess momentum of the plasma mode the grating makes it possible to convert the plasma wave energy into the electromagnetic radiation. We show that a grating can also play an active role by modifying an existing instability, or even generating an instability.
