This article reviews recent advances in laboratory diagnosis of equine parasitic diseases. Laboratory diagnosis of most equine parasitic diseases continues to rely on standard methods. Only laboratory diagnostic testing for EPM, cryptosporidiosis, and giardiasis are included, and the criteria for testing and interpretation of results for each new diagnostic method are explained.
